Artists Biography
Vladimir Ganin

A prominent Russian artist, a member of the Artist Union of Russia, he has been exhibiting internationally since the first exhibition debuted in 1992, “New Wave of Russia”, in Macao in 1992 and has received multiple awards from the Chinese Government. In the recent exhibitions in China, Vladimir continues to express his conceptual painting philosophy and engage the viewers through his colours and unique aesthetics.

His works are in museums, private collections in USA, Russia, China and Cambodia. Among his distinguished collectors are: Michael Gorbachev (ex-president of USSR), Mao Zhiyong (Vice-president of China), AIexiy ll Patriarch of Russian Orthodox Church, Narodom Sihamoni (King of Cambodia). In his recent exhibitions in China, Vladimir continues to express his conceptual painting philosophy and engage the viewers through his contemporary and unique aesthetics.

Vladimir creates his paintings with the underlying notion of humanity and an understanding of how individuality is expressed through painting. The paintings are a synthesis of his own feelings and are expressed through metaphysics of colours. He believes feelings create colour and the mind creates personal philosophy. He is constantly posing questions to the viewers and prompting them to explore the balance & harmony between the two subjects that he is so captivated by.

His use of symbolism and iconic graphics of figures, cities, places and landscapes are painted in a way like assembling his vast life and voyage experiences, along with his interaction with the people he met. Through the layers of paints, experimental mark makings and the modern composition, one could find their very own interpretations and personal journey.

Apart from his prolific artmaking, he also teaches painting & drawing in acclaimed art schools, colleges and art institutes in Russia and China. He had generously donated his works to different charitable fundraising events and galleries across the world.
